Welcome to Cattery Bjørnøya
I am Quirina Quirina van Wieringen and am together with my husband Friso, daughter Anouk and on this moment five cats Cattery Bjørnøya in Hilversum, the Netherlands. Our cattery exists since 2006. We are a small cattery with (at this moment) three Norwegian Forest Cats: Freya, Loedertje and Bjørg.We've had our first litter in 2008. We allowed Freya to enjoy her time as a kitten before she became a mother. In June 2008 she became mother of two beautiful kittens and in Juni 2009 she gave birth to the four kittens of her second litter. Refer to the photos page for photos of both litters.
Besides our three Norwegian Forest Cats, we have two 'regular' cats: Noa and Max.
It's not a surprise that I would start a cattery. My grandfather used to have a cattery with Persian Cats and regularly visited shows. The love for cats is in our genes. Since I was a little girl I admired the Norwegian Forest Cat. It's a dream-come-true that I now have my own Norwegian Forest Cat cattery and have had the first litter of kittens. We enjoyed those rascals very much! It's beautiful to see those helpless kittens grow out to be beautiful Norwegian Forst Cats.
We will have more litters with Freya, Loedertje en Bjørg in the future.
